The Boardwalk
From
its original conception, the boardwalk
connected the chalets, or camps as they were referred to in the
old days, to the main lodge. Built along a semicircle of walks
that once extended on the right side of the lodge, the beautiful
wood boardwalk encouraged leisurely walks around the ninth hole
of the golf course at all times of the day.
Cabanas were
strategically placed on the grounds, in outcropping areas of the
boardwalk itself where guests could swing carelessly away and greet
other passers by with warm salutations of "Good day."
More than just
a pedestrian pathway, the renovation
of the boardwalk will present an opportunity to once again take
in the fresh air, marvel at the majestic lodge and watch golfers
sink the ball into the ninth hole.
