The Redwood

Native Americans believe that redwood is a Spirit Being, a divine race who existed before humans, teaching people the proper way to live. With this in mind, great care was placed in salvaging the original redwood.

Since the chalets were constructed nearly 100 years ago, a salvage team was created with the delicate job of preserving the original redwood planks.

Board-by-board, the redwood planks that once lined the chalet walls were taken down. Their destination–to grace the walls of the public areas of the New Inn and Rainbow Theater (Rainbow Events Center). | Close this Window |
